Re-attaching the trim lines took all afternoon. What a CHORE. There's only one way to perform that procedure and it takes quite a while even when you have help. There was no time left to install the engine, so that's going to be rescheduled for sometime this week, possibly tomorrow. The upside: I replaced the pivot housing thrust washers, the o-ring for the trim line manifold, the o-rings on all the trim lines, the transom shift cable, the o-ring on the water intake hose, properly sealed the driveshaft bellows and pulled the trim rams off for rebuilding since they have a leakdown issue. I'll order the rebuild kits for both tonight, hopefully they'll be here sometime later this week. I kindof doubt it, though as they're such a weird part. I am now intimately familiar with the gimbal housing and all it's components! Not sure if that's a good thing..... ;) |
